Installation Completion Of Furniture For Living
After looking around the house, Nina left as it seemed like it was time for her to help in the field.
I still wanted to talk about the new building a little more, but her work is important so it can’t be helped.
Being left alone in the house, I relax on the sofa and make myself comfortable...or so I wanted to do, but this place is not as furnished as the mansion in the royal capital so I can’t do that.
There is mostly nothing in the house, making it a condition too desolate to be called a house.
However, I had made a careful preparation in order to immediately change this situation.
I took out the various pieces of furniture I bought from the royal capital from my subspace and started placing them.
Even if they are too heavy for a single person to carry, there is no need to trouble myself and carry them myself if I just take them out from the subspace so it’s easy.
I continue to quickly place various furniture for living like tables, chairs, sofas, carpets, closets, tablewares, cupboards, and bookshelves.
Then, the desolate instantly becomes one that gives people the impression of a place someone lives in.
「Ohー! It became like my own house!」
I unconsciously let out such an excited voice seeing the result.
A sofa that I couldn’t place in my house in my previous life due to space restrictions can now be unreservedly placed in the center of the wide living room. And even after placing the sofa there, the room doesn’t feel restricted.
I have also gathered tables and chairs that will give me a nice level of comfort to sit on so regardless of the style I’m very satisfied with them.
Getting overexcited, I end up placing some houseplants too.
「There is a limit to what I can do to the interior of a 1K room anyway」
When you start living alone, you will start to be more conscious of efficiency so you will eliminate any pointlessness.
Chairs that are robust and not easily broken, dishes with small edges so they will be easy to wash.
However, life in this other world gives me a lot of time and peace of mind. That’s why I’m going to buy things that I discarded in my previous life.
After I’m done with the living room, I place the cupboard in the kitchen and store the tableware. Moreover, I also installed a shelf to place the cooking utensils and seasonings.
「It’s evening already……?」
As I was decorating the interior of the entranceway and tidying up the bedroom, before I knew it, I noticed the setting sun from the window.
I was so immersed in arranging the interior that time passed by in a flash.
As I actually started to place things, I discovered some things that were missing in particular, but none of them were urgent so I could just buy them gradually. I’m glad it was finished before it got dark.
「Now I can already live here」
The fact that the preparation to live here was done in half a day was thanks to the careful preparation I’d done two weeks before.
Full of a sense of accomplishment, I lay down on the sofa just like that. But then, there was a knock on the door shortly after.
Hurriedly standing up and opening the door, there was Andre standing there.
「Yoo, Kureto!」
「Andre-san!」
「You’re going to live here from today, right? I was late due to work but now I can help you!」
Andre said with a bright smile on his face as he said something that made me happy.
「Thank you very much. But, I’ve already done arranging things just now」
「You’re lying, right? It had just been renovated so the place should be completely empty but you said you were done arranging the place?」
He rushed over to help, but it had been over already.
Andre is dumbfounded by the rather foolish situation he’s in.
「Well, I have a magic that lets me conveniently retrieve my luggage after all 」
「……Kureto’s magic is amazing as always. So, there are actually no more things you need help with?」
「That’s right」
「Well then, now is the time for the congratulatory gift for your new house. Stella told me not to do it now since you should be busy but it’s over now, right?」
「Yeah, I felt that it’s a hassle to cook right now so it’s very welcome! I don’t mind you to use my kitchen even」
It’s already evening now. I’ve been preparing the house continuously for half a day so I hadn’t had the time to have lunch. I am hungry, but I’m exhausted currently and I don’t have that much willpower to make food, it’s a dilemma for me so it’s a really welcome suggestion.
I didn’t expect them to make me everything, but if they can just help in making a little then it’s already good enough for me.
「Wait here a bit. I’m going to call Stella and Nina!」
Andre said in an excited voice and he ran from the entrance to his house.
It’s kinda heartwarming seeing Andre doing something youthful despite his appearance.
As I was taking out additional slippers from my subspace and line them up, Andre returned bringing Stella and Nina before long.
「I’m here again, Kureto!」
「Hello, Stella-san. It’s your first day since moving here, but I wonder if it’s really okay for me to intrude?」
Stella nervously asked while holding foodstuff in her hands.
’First day since moving’ she said, I guess she felt a little reluctant to come now.
「It’s really fine. I’m done preparing and arranging the house」
「Then please excuse me for intruding」
「You can’t enter Kureto’s house with dirty feet so please take them off and wear these slippers」
Just as Stella entered from the entrance feeling relief, Nina declared so as if taking the opportunity.
It’s heartwarming seeing Nina puffing out her chest like that as if saying that ‘I know about it’.
「Just as Nina says, it would be helpful if you do」
「I guess I should change into these zori-like things then」
「Ah, this is very light and comfortable」
Andre and Stella put on the slippers despite feeling a little confused.
And so I lead the three of them into the living room.
「Uwaaー! It looks different from this morning, it feels more like a home now!」
「It’s very spacious and pretty」
「This is surprising」
Nina and the others seem surprised by the interior - now fully furnished with household furniture and such - and has become homely.
「This is the kitchen. I think I already have the complete cooking utensils and seasonings so feel free to use them」
「Wo, would it really be fine to be the first to use such a fine kitchen?」
Even though she said that with restraint, Stella’s eyes were sparkling.
「It’s fine, I will also help. I made it this wide so everyone can use it」
「I think that’s a great idea!」
Stella looks at me with a look of respect somehow.
She might probably longing to cook with everyone in a spacious kitchen.
「Dad! Let’s explore Kureto’s house!」
「Ooh that’s right!」
Perhaps Nina and Andre are going to explore my house as they look to be in great spirits as they leave the living room.
「I’m sorry for the noise」
「No, it’s fine. Rather than that, shall we cook now」
「Yes. Although, I made some things at home and brought them with me」
Stella said shyly while holding the large pot in her hands.
When the lid was opened, there was potato and potage in there.
The smell of milk, butter, and potato is extremely irresistible.
「That looks really delicious. Is it a cold potage?」
「Yes. It’s getting hotter these days so I thought of making something cold」
「That’s wonderful」
There are four seasons in this world, spring, summer, autumn, and winter, those four seasons come around.
And currently, we are approaching summer it’s just the season when you crave something cold like this.
「I also made some venison roast」
「I’m sorry for troubling you」
「No no, it’s okay」
「Those are almost complete meals so what else should we make?」
Stella has several ingredients in her hands. Since it’s her, she probably didn’t just bring things with her without reason but there must be something she wanted to cook.
「Right, what about stir-fried mushrooms, meat, and vegetables? I’m also thinking of making a salad to go along with them」
「If it’s that much then I will help」
「That’s reassuring. Then, let us make them before those two get hungry」
「Right!」
Stella and I smiled at each other and thus we started cooking for the first time in this house.
