Teleporting To The Shrine

The scenery changes in an instant after I cast the Space magic, Teleport. www.ihavesinnedtranslation.com

「Oh!」

My vision was more distorted and the floating sensation was also longer than usual so I almost lost my balance, but I managed to land without any problem.

Maybe it’s because it was a long-distance Teleport, my mana suddenly decrease and so it makes me feel a bit uncomfortable, but I felt this kind of feeling many times when I was doing my mana practice, so I’m used to this.

Raising my head, there was the shrine in front of me.

As usual, the shrine exudes a solemn atmosphere.

With pillars painted with vermillion color and golden-colored Water God decorations here and there, it was very beautiful.

Guess it’s because it is a shrine that someone manages and regularly cleans the place. The shrine maintains a beauty that makes me think so.

Even so, I was able to Teleport to Kagura in one go with no problem.

However, in exchange for that, a lot amount of mana inside my body has been reduced.

As expected, it looks like a long-distance Teleport, and crossing over a continent consumes quite a lot of mana.

Although, when I check my own mana, it looks like I still have room to use more.

I guess it’s possible for me to do a long-distance Teleportation from Koryatt village to Kagura two more times?

It is enough when I consider the mana for going home, but if I leave out the mana for going home again then I will only be able to do this one time.

For my future Teleportation plan, I will Teleport to places I want when I want to, then spend my time leisurely eating delicious food in that region’s wonderful place. www.ihavesinnedtranslation.com

In other words, I have to be in a condition where I can Teleport anywhere on a whim. Otherwise, I won’t be satisfied.

These days, don’t I have quite the amount of mana for a seven years old? Or so I thought, but it appears that it wasn’t like that at all.

There were times when I skipped my mana-increasing training when I was visiting Eric’s house, but now I have to go back to the original schedule and do it every day. Even if I’m busy.

And then, by increasing my mana, I will be able to increase the number of times I can Teleport.

The surplus for more mana and mind will lead to flexibility in life.

I came here trying to search washi for the scooping material, but I found a big problem with increasing my mana instead. This is a big harvest already.

Okay then, let’s stop the reflection about Teleportation right now.

I’ve finally come to Kagura after all. It’s a waste to think about something that can be done anytime.

I came to see the scenery from this shrine.

Changing my train of thought, I walk toward the stairs with my back to the shrine.

Maybe it’s because the place I’m standing at is high, I have an unbroken view of Kagura’s scenery.

I can see the Japanese-style buildings that resemble the town of Kagura in the distance, and even from such a long distance, I can clearly see the liveliness of the street. And I could see the river that seemed like it weaved between buildings and roads and something that looked like boats appearing small in my eyes.

Looking at them again like this, you can see that water flows everywhere in the town of Kagura.

And it is precisely because it is facing the wide open sea that the town of Kagura lives in close proximity to water.

Gradually lowering my line of sight from there, houses became sparse and it turned into a rural area, there was also a forest where Roomba and I went through spreading out.

Then, as I lowered my line of sight even more, there was a long staircase almost directly below me that seemed to go on forever, just looking at it made me dizzy.

Un, looking down at the stairs like this the steep angle of the stairs makes me scared.

I’m going to have a headache if I just stares at the number of steps, so I immediately averted my eyes and decided to sit down on the stairs.

The stone steps are a little cold it feels nice.

I met Haru and Shuichi when Roomba brought me here. www.ihavesinnedtranslation.com

I thought what a strange duo they were, but I never thought those two to be the daughter and son of the most powerful Shogun family in this country.

I missed the sight of the commoners and Tori’s group prostrating at their Mito Koumon’s pretend play.

Reminiscing like this makes it feel like it happened yesterday, but it actually happened four months ago.

I want to meet Haru and Shuichi again, but they are from the Shogun family.

It would be difficult to meet them.

It was a happy thing to meet the two of them and also a disappointment we can’t do things together now that we know each other.

It feels kinda complicated.

I absentmindedly stare at the sky and the distant mountain.

While I was doing this, a pleasant breeze caressed my skin.

Unlike earlier, I didn’t stare at anything like the town or such, I just stared at everything as if trying to take everything absentmindedly.

This is also fine. My eyes will get tired if I keep on staring and chasing after something.

I just space out without thinking of anything, and then I lean my upper body back and lie down on my back.

And, the clear blue sky that spreads out in all directions and the vermillion torii gates overlap directly above me

I make a camera frame of sorts with my fingers and put the whole Kagura inside.

The beautiful blue sky and vermilion torii make quite a nice contrast. www.ihavesinnedtranslation.com

If I had something like a camera with me, I would have taken a picture with a smirk on my face.

I stored a picture in my mind, and then lying spread-eagled on the ground.

When I moved my line of sight without knowing why, I found a large rock placed near the torii.

(Torii gate)

「Oh, that was the rock I used before」

Apparently, it has been left as is since I used it as a transport using Psychic.

Guess it’s because I used quite a large rock. Considering how hard it will be to bring the rock down using human strength, I guess it’s impossible other than using Psychic to lower it.

If it’s going to be an obstacle, I could just bring it down with Psychic, but when I approached it, there was a rope that looked like a shimenawa1 wound up around the rock.

When I tried to go around the rock thinking it strange, I found a stone stair near the rock, and there were offerings such as flowers and dango2 placed atop it. www.ihavesinnedtranslation.com

.

「Hmm? What’s the meaning of this?」

Do people use this rock as a substitute for a goshintai3 or something? I don’t understand.

Since I don’t know what they did to the rock, it seems like it’s going to be troublesome if I were to move the rock imprudently, and it’s also possible that people enshrined the rock since they placed offerings like this.

If it’s enshrined here, then as expected, it’s probably the Water God.

But, in that case, the round rock doesn’t look like a goshintai at all. If anything, they should dig it up into the shape of a dragon-like those decorations in the shrine. www.ihavesinnedtranslation.com

Somehow that image comes to my mind, so I cast Earth magic in front of me.

I make a small sphere, and then I transform the small sphere while looking at the shrine’s dragon.

However, since they didn’t depict the details, I tried to imagine a violent water dragon by myself.

Then before long, an impressive dragon like the one in that monster-hunting game was completed.

Since there were dragon designs in the shrine, I managed to create them without any problem.

It’s the size of one’s palm, so you can’t feel its terror.

But, it would be quite scary if it’s around the size of this rock.

I laugh as I imagine such a scene. I had the desire to prank people and make it into the size of this large rock, but still, it would be bad if I were to make changes to an enshrined object so I quell that desire.

So instead, I decided to make a clay figurine in the image of the water dragon and leave it on the stone steps as an offering.

Then I lightly put my hands together and prayed there would come a time when I could play with Haru and Shuichi again. www.ihavesinnedtranslation.com
