Delivery By Teleportation

I was able to get an understanding of Space magic, so I’m going there in order to complete some suitable requests and make some money.

I’ve only walked around the royal capital for a bit so I’m not entirely sure but the transportation in this world is probably not so developed.

People mostly move around the place by walking, at best they travel using a horse or a carriage.

This is a different world of fantasy. Although there are cases where the power of magic and strong monsters fulfill those roles, it would not be possible for anyone to go anywhere freely and easily like my previous world.

And so, I - who can use Teleportation to move to another place in an instant - have the advantage.

Anyhow, this is a world where you can’t go anywhere as you wish. I will easily be able to make money just by buying and selling things here and there.

However, it will be dangerous to imitate what a merchant does without any knowledge of this world.

I mean, I don’t even know what I should sell or where to sell them.

It would be best to make some money and make a connection while gathering knowledge of this world and preparing for the future.

Because of that, I plan on studying this world while completing requests.

There are also a lot of adventurers inside the Adventurer’s Guild today.

In the attached bar, there were several groups having serious discussions while having breakfast.

You would normally form a party like that and finish the request together.

Normally, I - as a beginner adventurer should also learn from them, but from the perspective of someone who can move to another place in an instant with Teleportation, there was a large disadvantage in doing that.

My magic looks like something that can move several people at once instead of only for individuals, but considering my own circumstances and convenience, it will be better to do this solo.

Well, either way, I don’t have decent weapons or armor so I don’t think anyone will want to team up with a naked beginner adventurer like me.

There are various requests being put up there.

There are the standard requests of subjugating monsters like goblins, orcs, and slimes, and also the escorting merchants' requests to towns or villages. Requests to collect medicinal herbs, fruits, and nuts are also there.

Cleaning facilities in the royal capital, transporting goods, and searching for lost dogs.

There is really a wide range of requests being put up, really deserving the title of jack-of-all-trades profession.

Although, the only requests I can accept are the F-rank requests.

That being the case, the requests I can accept are quite few and I can accept hardly any subjugation requests.

Most of the requests I can accept are gathering requests at the nearby area, and other than that the overwhelming majority of them are odd jobs like transporting goods in the city, cleaning, and delivering letters.

Beginners adventurers would probably complete these kinds of requests, increasing their knowledge, and connections, and aiming for E-rank while polishing their skills and then accepting subjugation requests.

There were no objections to that. To begin with, I am an ordinary person who was born in a peaceful world.

Although I have a cheat of magic, I didn’t have the courage to suddenly accept subjugation requests.

Let’s steadily complete requests to do odd jobs.

「Yes, that’s right」

The first one is to deliver chairs to a family member who lives far from a senior citizen called Brom.

The second one is to deliver goods from the main store in the royal capital to the branch store on the other side.

I decided to complete the first request first.

「The person who put up the request lives in the Southern district while the recipient’s house is in the Eastern district, huh.......」

First I will go to the house where the client lives to pick up the chair.

From the perspective of someone who only moves around the Adventurer’s Guild surroundings, I am not familiar with where that is but it will be no problem if I use Teleport.

I first Teleport to the towering bell tower.

I should be able to look over the client’s house in the Southern district from there and find the house from the map drawn on the request from.

I cast Teleport after finding the area around the destination.

I instantly Teleported to the roof of a building in the Southern district.

I can’t Teleport if I have never been there once so I have to use this kind of method but, this is only the beginning. Once I go to a place then there won’t be any problem.

Each time I complete a delivery request, the range where I can Teleport will also increase so it’s like killing two birds with one stone.

「Found it! It’s this house!」

I found something that matched the characteristics of the house that was written on the form.

Less than a minute had passed from the Adventurer’s Guild in the center of the royal capital.

From what I could see from the bell tower, it was several kilometers in distance so quite a lot of time will have passed if you head here directly by walking.

There are two large chairs at the end of the old man’s finger. Looks like I have to deliver those.

If it’s an adult, it will be no problem to deliver two of them at the same time but walking while carrying them would be troublesome.

But, that has nothing to do with me.

「Well then, I will take my leave now」

「I’ll leave them to you」

After picking up the two chairs, I leave the house.

「Subspace Storage」

After that, I cast Space Magic, and a subspace opened.

This is one of the Space magic spells, Storage. There is no concept of time inside the subspace, and will be able to store any materials - no matter the size - as they will not deteriorate.

In gaming terms, it will be like Item Box or Magic Bag.

As long as I have this, I will be able to easily carry anything with me.

If I throw the two chairs in there, the weight will not matter.

After becoming empty-handed, I cast Teleport.

After returning to the bell tower in the central part of the royal capital, I recalled the map from my memory and fixedly stared at the Eastern district.

Her hair color is the same as Brom-san and her eyes are somewhat similar as well.

「Excuse me, I am the adventurer who accepted the delivery request. Brom-san asked me to deliver these 2 chairs」

「Aah, the chairs Grandpa was talking about the other day! Thank you for delivering them!」

When I gave her the request with Brom-san’s signature to her, the young woman received the form and sign it with a familiar movement.

The royal capital doesn’t have a developed delivery service like TA-Q-BIN1 so it’s not unusual to assign the role of delivery to adventurers.

But, just when was the last time I  have been thanked like this while doing my work? I had basically a lot of desk work and my boss was the type of person who can’t show appreciation to his subordinates.

It’s been a quite while since I’ve been thanked by someone like this, it feels a bit embarrassing. But still, it’s a happy thing.

「No no, well then please excuse me」

I just have to take the sign from the client and the receiver to the guild and the request will be completed.

With this, the first request is practically complete.

It took a while since the range that I can Teleport to is still short, but it didn’t take ten minutes since I left the Adventurer’s Guild building.

From now on the efficiency will continue to increase if I keep on completing requests and go to many places.

And then it won’t be difficult to complete a request within 2 minutes if that happens.
